He has won the Assitej-Spain Prize and his plays have received numerous awards.

Luis Matilla

Luis Matilla. He is a writer, playwright and specialist in image issues. He was a member of the editorial board of the theatre magazine Pipirijaina and collaborated with the magazine El Público and the weekly humour magazine Hermano Lobo. He was a member of legendary independent theatre groups such as El Búho and Tábano. Since the mid-1960s, he has written more than fifty plays covering all genres and audiences: from children's to adult theatre, from animation theatre in open spaces to farce and realistic theatre. Some of his plays have been translated into several languages and performed in different countries all over the world, winning countless awards, including the ASSITEJ Spain National Prize. In 2005 we published his play El hombre de las cien manos, a fundamental text in children's theatre in our country.
