Luis Fernando de Julián 'Nani' (Madrid, 1977) studied early childhood education, photography and many other things that he says have served to enrich his writing. He has won numerous playwriting awards and has published around twenty plays in different publishing houses. His plays have been translated into Greek and premiered in Spain, Greece and Ecuador. His plays for children include Siembravientos and Petit Azul. He has also published Espinas. Teatro breve para jóvenes despiertos, which brings together fourteen of his short plays for young audiences. At the time of receiving this award, he combines his work as a playwright with that of educator of people with functional diversity.
