At first glance, this doesn't seem like a play. At second glance, perhaps not either. That, at least, is what Paco Romeu warns us at the beginning of this book. However, Diario del limonero (Diary of a Lemon Tree) undoubtedly conceals a play about life and its processes.

Through the story of Cristina and Bruno, two twin babies who learn everything under the leaves of an old lemon tree and under the watchful and loving gaze of their mother, Romeu speaks poetically of family, of roots, and of growing in connection with nature. Life from the perspective of simplicity, of who we are, of the importance of the little things.

Lemon Tree Diary was the winning play, in the Spanish language category, in the 31st Children's Playwriting Competition organized by Pamplona City Council and ENTNAE (Navarra School of Theatre).

Winning work of the 31st Competition of theatrical texts aimed at children of the Navarra School of Theatre and the Pamplona City Council
