Journalist | Programmers and managers

Community of Madrid

Journalist by profession and graduate in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Since 1982, I have published in various newspapers and magazines in Barcelona and Madrid (El Mòn, El Noticiero Universal, Diari de Barcelona, La Gaceta de los Negocios, El País, El Globo...), first as a journalist specialising in politics and later in culture.

In the early 1990s, I specialised in issues related to leisure and culture for children and young people. I was a regular and regular contributor to the newspaper El País for 25 years (1993-2018) and I was the Madrid correspondent for the magazine Pedagogical Notebooks over two decades (1997-2017).

In the period 2001-2004 she was coordinator of the editorial collections of Assitej Spain.

I carried out three content analysis studies on children's programming on different public and private television channels:

-Television and users' rights. Children's content. Advertising. Ceaccu Reports, no. 15. Madrid,1997

- What television do children watch? Ceaccu Reports, No. 17. Madrid, 2000.

- Television for children. Col.Informes Ceaccu, nº 23. Madrid, 2004.

2006 saw the publication of Theatre, inside and outside the classroom. CD-R. Ed. Ed.Cuadernos de Pedagogía. ISSN 0210-0630, which compiled a series of dramatic texts for children with some suggestions for associated didactic activities.

From the 1990s to the present day, I have taken part in numerous debates, congresses, meetings, study days and round tables related to theatre for children in Spain and other countries; I have given conferences on the same subject, published articles (in specialised journals such as Las puertas del drama, Titereando, Minerva, Teatros Madrid...) and I have been a member of the jury at various national and international theatre festivals.

In 2005 I joined the management team of the Festival Teatralia, first as artistic and pedagogical advisor, later as co-director and since 2016, I have been the sole director of a festival that in 2021 celebrated its first quarter of a century.

I have been president of Assitej Spain (2000-2018) and in that period I actively participated in the international congresses of Assitej, in the world festivals held in parallel to them and in the so-called artistic meetings.
