Storytelling is one of the oldest trades in the world. Stories travel from mouth to mouth throughout humanity, here and there, and our task is to know them and make them known; to make that long chain of tales, images, emotions, archetypes, myths... alive. Voices of yesterday and today that speak in our ears to reveal to us what we humans are and what we can be.
Sad people think storytelling is a dead craft. But today it is more alive than ever: in the streets, in theatres, in schools, at family meals, even in companies, we love to listen to stories. If you have never tried it, just give it a try. We are sure because we have been bringing stories to people for more than a decade, and there are those who listen to them dazzled from the first moment, but also those who first look at us with a certain suspicion... and soon after they are laughing, dreaming, crying, imagining like everyone else.
We are Eva and Nacho, experts in oral literature, both in terms of academic training and professional and teaching experience. We have been telling stories for years to adults and children in schools and institutes, cultural centres, theatres, cafés and bars. It is quite possible that you have met us before in the group The Sprinkler.
In De boca en boca we take the traditional stories of the oral narrative of all peoples, with their meaning, their essence, their roots, and we make them our own and then make them yours, in a space and for an audience of the 21st century.
We are on the side of folklore, oral communication, ancient knowledge, imagination and reality.
