MIM SUECA-Mostra Internacional de Mim a Sueca is a festival specifically dedicated to exhibiting street and indoor theatre shows in which the gesture, body and movement of the performers are the main artistic element of their proposals. MIM SUECA aims to accommodate contemporary, integrative, universal, cohesive and critical discourses, without losing sight of the most festive and quality entertainment pieces. It seeks to strike a balance between the novelties of the season, the result of collaborations and artistic exchanges and the provocation of pieces created from research. A program of activities with different perspectives, aimed at different types of spectators and so that anyone can find a piece that is of interest to them. In each edition of the festival, practically all the stage possibilities of gestural theatre have been presented by national and international performing arts companies with shows in which the boundaries between dance and theatre are blurred, plastic-scenic performances, theatrical proposals with circus techniques, etc. MIM SUECA is about meeting, sharing, movement and breathing, which is why Sueca is unique and different and offers both locals and foreigners an enriching and different artistic and vital experience. MIM SUECA has thus become one of the most important physical and gesture theatre festivals in Spain, as confirmed by the attendance of more than 20,000 spectators each year. Year after year, the public fills all the festival's exhibition spaces. The streets, squares and halls become living stages. The loyalty of the thousands of spectators who follow the festival means that not only does the body speak to express feelings and emotions, but that emotion can be felt in every corner of Sueca.
