Blink Flash is a dance-theatre company that creates proposals for children and their families. The aim of their works is to express emotions through the body and movement in a poetic and contemporary way. The company was born in 2016, when the Mercat de les Flors and the Festival El Més Petit de Tots proposed Montse Roig to create a stage piece based on the Labs she did in kindergartens as part of the educational programme ¨Cuerpo y Movimiento". The Lab is an artistic experience for children from 0 to 3 years old where educators and families receive tools to lead them towards creative movement. The creative process of the show Blink Flash Duncan took place simultaneously in the theatre and in the kindergartens, so that the choreography was created with great care as it came out of sensitive work with children. This show, aimed at children from 2 to 5 years old, premiered at the Festival El Més Petit de Tots, first at the Mercat de Les Flors (Barcelona) and then toured around Catalonia, Spain and France. Blink Flash Duncan and the Lab were part of circuits such as Danza a Escena, Fem Dansa or Anem al Teatre and participated in several festivals. In 2019, the company created Big Bang Cuc, a dance and clown show for children, created in an artistic installation. In 2020, due to the confinements and in collaboration with the Artesà Theatre (El Prat de Llobregat), the company created interactive videos based on the Labs, so that families could make them at home. In March 2021, the company Blink Flash started a new research and creation process (following a methodology similar to the one used to create Blink Flash Duncan), which will culminate in the premiere of a new dance-theatre piece for children from 0 to 5 years old in winter 2022. A show about the magic of the little (big) things in life: Blink Magic (working title).
