The exceptional quality of the texts presented for the 2012 Theatre Prize, organised by ASSITEJ Spain, has led to the publication of the three finalist works in a single volume. Although the three are written in very different styles, all three coincide in proposing a reflection on different aspects of current social affairs. Thus, based on real events, in Lo que no se ense\u00f1ar (What is not taught) Alberto de Casso brings to the table the controversy arising from the use of the Islamic veil in educational centres. But he goes beyond this issue to sharply criticise our educational system and the hypocrisy of society. Fusa Guill\u00e9n proposes a work with fantastic overtones, La noche de Sama\u00edn (Sama\u00edn Night), set in Galicia and its culture to show the relationships between teenagers of different conditions, their prejudices, and the importance of respecting others.
